Principle of bead mill

Utilize the interaction between the high-filled media in the closed container and the solid particles in the material in the complex movement to realize the dispersion of the agglomerated particles in the material, and the grinding evolves into micron to nano-meter level.

Materials of Inner Chamber and Disperser are able to customized in Ceramics, Wear-resistant steel, Wear-resistant stainless steel, stainless steel and Polyurethane to meet different requirements.



Grinding Media

The diameter of Grinding media ranges from 0.05mm to 3.0mm.

We recommend the Yttrium stabilized zirconia grinding beads with 95% zirconium content.

Working Principle of Agitator Bead Mills



  • Use the material feed pump to draw in the solid-liquid mixture materials that have been pre-dispersed and wetted in the mix tank;
  • The materials and grinding media are stirred in the chamber by the high-speed rotating disperser, so that the solid particles in the materials and grinding media produce strong collision, friction and shearing effects with each other to achieve the purpose of accelerating the grinding of fine particles and dispersing;
  • After grinding and dispersing, the material passes through a dynamic separator to separate the grinding medium and flows out of the discharge pipe, if need, keep circulating from the tank to the grinding chamber to ensure smaller particle size, narrower particle size range.

  • Specification ranges from 5L to 300L, which could be customized to be Explosion-proof type or Non-EX proof, also the multiple materials of dispersing discs and the inner chamber could be chosen from stainless steel, polyurethane, wearable steel, wearable stainless steel and ceramics. If need, polyurethane or ceramic are a better choice to ensure its anti-abrasiveness and also to prevent materials from metal pollution.
